Introduction
Francesco Calviello was born in Udine, a little town in northeast Italy, in 1975.
In 2001 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
While displaying at several individual and group exhibitions, he developed his particular artistic talent dealing with particular subjects, and emerged in the specific theme of portraits.
He also gained experience in grafic art and scenery; in the end dedicating himself to painting decorative murals for internal and exernal walls.
At the time he lived in Venice, he studied many ancient Renaissance codes from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and developed, through numerous elaborate graphic designs, his anatomical knowledge of the human body.
In 2004, he was commissioned to paint the external face of the historic building of Napoleon Bonaparte's 'Treatise of Campoformio' (Campoformido, Italy). In 2003, he began teaching some art courses at Galleria Artemisia in Pozzuolo del Friuli (Udine). In addition to dedicating himself to his art, he holds art classes in a psychiatric residence in Udine to help people with mental health disorders.
